I am the Tolarian Academic.  This screen name is derived from the name of a fictional place, the Tolarian Academy, a school for wizards and artificers (makers of magical items), located on the time-shifting Isle of Tolaria.  I figured that this name was appropriate for me because I am a university student with a keen interest in fantasy.  Tolaria is in Dominaria, the central plane in Dominia, the multiverse where the Magic: the Gathering game and novels take place.
    My hobbies include Magic: the Gathering, both the game and the novels; avid reading, especially fantasy, sci-fi, and martial arts reference (I know bits and pieces of several martial arts, both the major ones and the more obscure, although I'm not actually a practitioner of any of them.); archaic weaponry, both both making and using them; the Robotech RPG from Palladium Books; computers, which I've worked with almost my entire life; video game development, a money-making venture as well as a hobby, although, having just started in that field, I haven't actually made any money off of it yet; and mythology (I know a little bit about each of several mythologies, and am a semi-expert on greco-roman myths.).
